hello am moi! i have not been on forums a lot since i was in high school. my last, most recent forum experience was on a minecraft forum where i had to amass activity so i could review a plugin i liked. unfortunately, i did not make the minimum and i have not yet reviewed the plugin even though i promised the creator i would. i have been feeling immense guilt ever since. i also frequently lurk on a forum where i pirate e-books. i think that i am a very simple person and i think that i think very little about things. but i do enjoy thinking about birds, the natural world and anything fantasy-adjacent. recently i have been reading about trees (the southern live oak, cluster fig, & going through wikipedia's list of oldest trees—i like the clonal trees like Pando) and listening to dimension 20's fantasy high (i am on episode 7). you can find me on twitter (i draw sometimes!) and goodreads (i am trying very hard to hit my reading goal this year) it is nice to meet everyone!

I love you moi. thank you for joining me here. The only Minecraft plugins I've downloaded in the past five years are xrays mods. I suppose that i can't even consider it a plugin because they're just resource packs now. i miss that ad site with the bee every modder would use to earn a few cents per download; in the 5 seconds i'd wait before i'd have to click 'skip' i must have felt many things. i would have donated if they would let me. i think it's nice and lovely to be simple. i think grounding oneself in simplicity is key to really feeling in tune with the world—perhaps a lot of things are more simple than we realize. your interests make me feel like you have a very humble but mesmerizing way of thinking about what the world is and what it could be. what is the oldest tree you've ever seen? i was reading about new haven's history a few months back and cried when i learned that the Lincoln tree was toppled years back: yalealumnimagazine.com/articles/3642-the-lincoln-tree-and-the-bones. i wish i could tell you a happier story about me and trees.

HI MOI <3 seeing both ur art + ur bird expeditions make me rlly happi! glad you have these outlets also yes to pirating e-books ehhehe i wonder what kind of books u pirate! hi bianca!! thank you :DD i actually pirate literally all the books i read (red flag). i don't like buying books to find out i dislike them ): makes me feel bad when they sit on my shelf for ages & ages and are never touched again. so now i normally pirate first, buy later! recently have pirated & read the first two books of the mistmantle chronicles, she who became the sun, the travelling cat chronicles, and am currently finally getting around to reading the song of trees by david george haskell and the invention of nature by andrea wulf ^_^ what have you been reading lately !

so true on pirating e-books so that you don’t end up buying smth u dislike….i have limited shelf space too so I def agree w this!
Also love that you’re reading fiction <3 definitely need to get back to that
I’ve been on a religion x spiritualy fixation lately, so I’ve been reading books like “The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success” and “Seeking Wisdom: A Spiritual Guide to Creative Connection”! Hopefully I finish these lmao bc of my ADHD i tend to read multiple books at the same time and never finish them
Craving to go back to science fic tho ;( Octavia Butler or Ursula Le Guin is on my TBR list

hi moi! i'm curious what the ebook piracy forum was — i mostly use zlib and libgen, but it's always fun to see what the more niche stuff is. i don't hang out there much, but i occasionally poke my head into aaaaarg.fail, and it's always fun to see what's going on there. i saw probably close to a hundred birds when i was in the park yesterday! there were a bunch of them hanging out in the trees by the pond, and a handful of malayan night herons (the only bird here i can really identify) hanging out as well. i thought about trying to identify them, but then decided that was too much work. one of my favorite poems is about not identifying birds, anyways:
i hope you're well!
